Coming Out of the Swamp

In this world of instant dialog via the internet, one can relieve some anxiety or just get it out on the table when the truth is being smoked over with big bucks and big mouths.

There are many old timers like me who are finding it hard to just sit back and see egos and predators run amuck in the world your loved ones are entering.  Some of us are speaking out where ever and whenever an opportunity presents itself.

This blog is for those who are seeing no hope in the plans and possessions of man.  Every where we turn, there is another man or woman who is on a power trip to control a lot of people.

Swampcat stands for Southern White Anglosaxon Male Protestant Courageous Ageless Teacher, or any other words you want to describe a Son, Husband, Father, Grandfather and friend to those who just want to do the right thing.

Swampcats are scarce and becoming a rare species.  People like me have only a few years to provide some history and learnings to help those coming behind us.  We come from different educational, financial, political, religious, and southern region backgrounds.  We blend and mix well with others from different racial and ethnic backgrounds.  We appreciate diversity and the need for spice in our lives.  We love having fun, but take our charge to put others first and protect the weak and unsuspecting very seriously.

Swamp life can be very peaceful.  Not many want to invade your space and crowd you out.  They get spooked about our towering cypress and low hanging spanish moss.  Snakes and gaters spook them real bad.

Like any of God's creatures, if you leave them alone and don't try to trap or move in on them, there is no trouble to be had.  On the other hand, those who want what you got, better bristle for a fight.  When that happens, the Cats will come out of the swamp and defend what God has given us, love, life, salvation from our sins, truth, freedom and hope in His provision.

More to come from the paw of  The Swampcat.
